A <a href="https://dailyvoice.com/new-york/northorange/hudson-valley-restaurant-to-appear-on-kitchen-nightmares/" target="_blank">local article</a> says the new restaurant didn't keep any or Gordon Ramsay's changes and the previous owners from the show sold due to health reasons. Apparently the deal to sell the restaurant was already in place before the show did the makeover, but they agreed to hold off until after the show filmed.</div><div><br /><div><div><div><br /><b><br /></b></div><div><b>Conclusion:</b></div><div><b><br /></b>Love Bites Cafe closed before their <i>Kitchen Nightmares </i>episode aired and just one month after the makeover. It appears the restaurant already had a deal in place to be sold before the <i>Kitchen Nightmares </i>makeover but still decided to go through with the show. Love Bites Cafe closed due to health issues with the owners and this seems valid as they had a lot of positive reviews online. So the reviews on the food are mixed and it seems like people go there more for the events. Gordon Ramsay did have a similar show <a href="https://www.kitchennightmaresupdates.com/p/24-hours-to-hell-back-updates.html" target="_blank"><i>24 Hours to Hell and Back</i></a> that aired for 3 seasons from 2018-2020, but the format was a little bit different. </p><p>This is the eighth season of <i>Kitchen Nightmares</i> (US version) and the season will be 10 episodes long. Each of the 10 restaurants that appear on the show this season will be in either New Jersey or New York. The restaurant closed in 2020 and they filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in August 2020, later converting to a chapter 7 liquidation in September 2020 (<a href="https://richmondbizsense.com/2020/09/04/lowerys-seafood-in-tappahannock-sinks-into-bankruptcy/" target="_blank">Link</a>).</p><p>The closure of the restaurant comes after more than 80 years in business. You may recall <a href="https://www.kitchennightmaresupdates.com/2020/01/24-hours-to-hell-and-back-lowerys-seafood.html" target="_blank">in the episode update</a> that the building was for sale before Gordon Ramsay did the makeover for <i>24 Hours to Hell and Back</i>. The closure came less than a year after the show aired.</p><p>Despite filing for bankruptcy in 2020, the building remains for sale as of writing this and the <a href="https://www.longandfoster.com/commercial-for-sale/528-S-Church-Lane-Tappahannock-VA-22560-322140364" target="_blank">MLS listing</a> states, "Are you ready to make the move and start your own restaurant, Brewery, wine shop, at this well-equipped fully furnished seafood restaurant is ready to open. Established in 1938 with a reputation throughout the east coast for good seafood and a family atmosphere. Bayou on the Vine posted a <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CBi2KCwpGSv/" target="_blank">picture</a> on their Instagram page in June 2020 that said, "Business is permanently closed." So it appears they have been closed since at least June 2020 and they have no plans to reopen.<br /><br /> Bayou on the Vine appeared on <i>24 Hours to Hell and Back</i> in early 2019 and during the episode, Gordon Ramsay decided to rename the restaurant Gadson's. Jaxon Edwin Social House, which was featured on <i>24 Hours to Hell and Back</i> in May 2020 has closed. Jaxon Edwin was part of the <a href="https://www.kitchennightmaresupdates.com/2020/05/little-market-cafe-jaxon-edwin-phoenix.html#more" target="_blank">Ellicott City, Maryland special</a> which was filmed in February 2020, where Gordon Ramsay helped multiple businesses recover after a flood.<br />

"It gives me great pain to let everyone know that we will sadly be ceasing operations for Jaxon Edwin. This company started as kickstarter and ended with a Gordon Ramsay remodel. After filming, we were on fire-standing room only each weekend. My chef Brenden says we were on our way to building something beautiful. Then 3 days later we were shut down due to this pandemic. In May we safely reopened but what we’ve learned the past few months is there are too many things working against us. The pressure of owing 100% of our rent during a time when we are reduced to 50% at best has become too much to bear. While our landlords got most of their burden deferred for several months, we owe 100%. So we’ve tried to reopen per the law, which did not cover expenses. Many people are not yet comfortable with indoor seating, but sadly we were not able to obtain a solution to bring in that business. Several Fridays ago we had a band play and then we later found out that 2 customers had tested positive for COVID-19. I do not want to bear the guilt if someone were to get sick due to us being open. In a perfect world I would love to reopen in a year when it’s safe, but we don’t own our building and it’s been made clear no renegotiations will be made. The overwhelming amount of support that we have received has been incredible. Thank you to all who said you would support us once Covid is over. From the bottom of my heart I am truly sorry to my family for putting us in an awful financial situation. All I ever wanted to do was create a cool concept for this town and help boost EC. I’m sorry to the community for not taking the time to get to know you all. I brought a very successful company to Main Street 4 years ago which lead to having 3 businesses at once. My biggest regret was not getting to know more of you. I should have taken more time to meet you all. Finally I’m sorry to my loyal customers and staff. Obviously COVID-19 and the regulations that have been put on restaurants has been tough for many restaurants and it seems that Jaxon Edwin was unable to make it work. They had a lot of well wishes in the comments of their post and the restaurant said hopefully some day they could return. The space is currently available and the other businesses that appeared on <i>24 Hours to Hell and Back</i> are still open.</div>

Tonight at 8pm ET on Fox is a special two-hour episode of <i>24 Hours to Hell</i> and back where Gordon Ramsay is in Ellicott City, Maryland to help businesses that have been sustained flood damage in 2016 and 2018. This is a special episode where interior designer Nate Berkus, former MLB player Cal Ripken Jr. and former NFL player Torrey Smith help Gordon Ramsay with the makeover.<br />

So the restaurant closed just five months after the episode was filmed and two months after the episode aired. Caneda's White Rooster put out a new menu in the beginning of March, so perhaps the coronavirus shutdowns had an impact on Patty's decision to close the restaurant.<br />

In <a href="https://www.kitchennightmaresupdates.com/2020/02/south-boulevard-sobo-24-hours-to-hell.html" target="_blank">the update from when the episode aired</a>, it was reported that the restaurant closed for the weekend to supposedly prepare for Tuesday's watch party. They stated on Facebook, "We are so pumped and excited for our show to air this Tuesday. Unfortunately, due to the high demand for reservations for our watch party, we are allowing extra time off for staff and training to better-prepare ourselves for what’s to come! See you guys after the weekend! Our sincere apologies for being closed these few days."<br />

I thought that was a little strange to close the restaurant on a weekend to prepare for a busy night and it appears I was right. <a href="https://www.fox16.com/news/local-news/restaurant-featured-on-24-hrs-to-hell-and-back-faces-complications/" target="_blank">Fox16 is reporting</a> that the restaurant is closed and was closed the night of the supposed watch party as well. The property owner said that the restaurant was evicted and is $22,000 behind in rent. When <i>24 Hours to Hell and Back</i> asked the property owner for permission to film, owner Jermaine Burton promised to catch up on payments after the show was over, but that apparently didn't happen.<br />

The Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission also said Southern Boulevard's license was suspended in January 2020 for unpaid taxes. <br />

Jermaine said he denies some of the statements made by the landlord and that he hopes he can work out an arrangement to get his business up and running.<br />

On tonight's 2-hour season finale of <i>24 Hours to Hell and Back</i>, Gordon Ramsay is in Little Rock, Arkansas to try to save South Boulevard. South Boulevard is also known as SoBo and serves fusion dishes such as Korean bbq, steaks and sushi. The restaurant just opened in April 2019 and the owner is having problems taking charge of the restaurant. Gordon Ramsay also finds food in the kitchen that is rotten and should not be served to customers.<br />

He got the burger without kimchi because he hates it. So what does he get... the kimchi burger. By this time it’s 6:30 and my husband just tells the waitress he got the wrong burger and does not want it to be fixed because we don’t have time to wait another god knows how long for it. We have to get home to do homework and get the kids to bed. I gave two stars because the waitress was nice. The sushi was just ok. Nothing special."</li>

The changes of going from $5 pizza to $15 pizza didn't seem to drive any customers away as they are willing to pay a bit more for better pizza. Bear's Den Pizza is known as more of a bar than a restaurant and owner Brad McCray even said that they are more focused on the night crowd. Having better food is hoping to draw more people to the restaurant/bar during earlier hours. Brad also owns another bar in Little Rock called Brewski's Pub & Grub.<br />

Ramsey missed the mark at the entrance in not having a vestibule put in to keep the cold air blowing in the restaurant when folks came and went. This was our first time going after the remodel. The decor is nice, the chairs very comfortable and menu had a good selection to choose from. The prices are $$ in my opinion.The food was excellent. One of us was supposed to get hush puppies and a side with their entree and only got the side. Only complaint regarding food except the broiled fish took longer to prepare and we were cautioned about that when we ordered. However, the wait staff was terrible. We waited 10 minutes before anyone came to take out drink order. Once our order was taken we never saw our waitress at our table again. Our water and drinks were empty for a long time. The restaurant was not full and there were 5 people working the dining room....So that's the long and short of it. I doubt that I will eat there much."</li>

I can tell that it was probably one of Chef Ramsay’s creation. But it was not executed well. It’s basically microwave steamed brussel sprouts and then put into the oven for a minute. It should’ve been in the oven for much longer. Anyway, I used to like this seafood place, and this visit was full of disappointments."</li>

After they got it figured out, and we were turning around to leave, another customer came up to the counter to complain about his food. Needless to say, whoever is in charge clearly couldn't run a lemonade stand, nonetheless a restaurant bold enough to charge 21 dollars for steak and eggs. I'll never go back or recommend this place."</li>

During the <i>24 Hours to Hell and Back</i> makeover, Gordon Ramsay decided to rename their restaurant from Vasi's Restaurant and Bar to Vasi's Taverna and they did keep the name. The restaurant closes after 18 years in business and a year after the Gordon Ramsay visit.<br />

In a CT Post <a href="https://www.ctpost.com/business/article/Vasi-s-Taverna-Gordon-Ramsay-show-had-nothing-to-14978040.php" target="_blank">article</a>, owner Vasilios Kaloidis said he closed after receiving an offer to be bought. The deal ended up falling through, but he already told staff and returned deposits for upcoming events at the restaurant. After that, he "didn't have the heart to reopen" and the restaurant remains for sale. Vasilios also said he doesn't blame the <i>24 Hours to Hell and Back</i> for closing and business increased a little bit after the show aired, then went back to normal. Vasilios also went back to his normal menu based on customer feedback.<br />

On tonight's episode of <i>24 Hours to Hell and Back</i>, Gordon Ramsay is in Manasquan, New Jersey to try to save Blend on Main.
