On this week's episode of Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsay is in Eastlake, Ohio to help out the restaurant Golden Girls. Golden Girls is a struggling diner owned by a pair of best friends. Gordon will need to help them improve their food as the community has lost faith in the restaurant.
Kitchen Nightmares visited Golden Girls in June 2025 to film the episode, and I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Golden Girls to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Gordon Ramsay visited, and unfortunately the restaurant has already closed. Here is what I found about the restaurant:
*No reviews as the restaurant has closed.
Other News and Links:
- The makeover for Golden Girls happened in June 2025, so more than a year before the Kitchen Nightmares episode first aired.
- Golden Girls restaurant closed in January 2026, so about 6 months after their Kitchen Nightmares makeover and 8 months before their episode aired.
- When they closed in January, comments from a local Facebook group said they weren't surprised due to the food and owners. (Link)
- Here was the Golden Girls Facebook page, but they did not post much.
- Here were the reviews for Golden Girls on Yelp and Google.
- The reviews were not that good and there were complaints about the food, smaller menu and cleanliness of the restaurant.
Conclusion:
Golden Girls restaurant closed in January 2026, about six months after the Kitchen Nightmares makeover and before their episode first aired. The reviews for the restaurant weren't too positive, so it is not surprising that this restaurant didn't last.
