Secret Garden Restaurant From Kitchen Nightmares Has Closed

Secret Garden Restaurant in Moorpark, California from season one of Kitchen Nightmares has closed.  The restaurant posted a link on their Facebook page at the end of November 2015 that had the following message:
Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Saturday, November 28th will be Chef Michel's last day at The Secret Garden. The business has been sold. We are so thankful for so many things. At this time of year, we celebrate you, our incredible customers that have come to feel more like family. Thank you for your many years of patronage and support.

Chef Michel is looking into other ventures. Keep an eye on your inbox or like us on facebook to stay up to date on what's happening next.

As we look forward to celebrating the holidays ahead, we want to take this opportunity to wish you and your family the very Happiest and Healthiest of Holidays.

We're keeping the email, so feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] with questions or comments.

Everything has been removed from the restaurant website and it now simply says "SOLD."  As it looks like there will not be new owners operating the restaurant under the same name, this restaurant will be marked as 'Closed' on the Kitchen Nightmares Update Page.  This was the last open restaurant with the same owners from season 1 of Kitchen Nightmares.

Amy's Baking Company Is Officially Closed

Back in July 2015, it was reported that Amy's Baking Company from Kitchen Nightmares was in negotiations to sell their property and when the sale went through, they would close the business.

It appears today is the day that they have closed the restaurant.  They posted the following picture on their social media accounts:

Amy and Sam confirmed the above tweet was in reference to their closing of Amy's Baking Company in this tweet, and said they are working on several other projects.  In the previous article, Amy and Sam said they still plan to continue making desserts and pastries and also plan to do online instructional videos.

Now that they are officially closed,  the Kitchen Nightmares Updates Page has been updated to show Amy's Baking Company as closed.

Amy's Baking Company From Kitchen Nightmares To Close

Amy's Baking Company in Scottsdale, Arizona which was featured on season 6 of Kitchen Nightmares will soon close if the sale of their restaurant goes through.  They are in negotiations to sell their property and the prospective buyers are from France.  The deal is expected to be finalized next month if the new owners get their visa and immigration approvals.

The Phoenix Business Journal first reported the news and said that if the sale goes through Amy and Samy Bouzaglo will still continue to make desserts.  They plan on selling custom-made desserts and pastries to restaurants, caterers, and other businesses.  Amy also plans to make online instructional cooking videos and have an online cooking school featuring desserts that she makes.

Amy's Baking Company is the most popular episode of Kitchen Nightmares ever due to Gordon Ramsay walking out during their episode and the story going viral after the episode aired.  After the episode aired, fans of the show were outspoken against the restaurant and Amy's Baking Company responded to many of those fans and verbally attacked and insulted them.  Amy's Baking Company claims their restaurant's Facebook Page was hacked and they didn't post any of those insults.

When/If the sale goes through and the restaurant closes, the Kitchen Nightmares Updates Page will be updated to show Amy's Baking Company as closed.

UPDATE - On 9/1/2015, Amy's Baking Company officially closed.

Chiarella's Ristorante From Kitchen Nightmares Has Closed

Chiarella's Ristorante in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which was featured on season 5 of Kitchen Nightmares has closed. Their last day of business was June 30, 2015 and they said they closed due to the landlord pushing them out after their lease ended.  Owner Dina Chiarella was quoted in a Philly.com article as saying, "We're not closing because we want to close."  Dina also seems to be replying to people's negative comments about the restaurant on another local article

It isn't know if Chiarella's will try to open elsewhere, but the restaurant hasn't posted anything about the closure on their Facebook page.

This is the 8th restaurant from season 5 of Kitchen Nightmares to close and the Kitchen Nightmares Update Page has been updated with this information.
