On this weeks episode of 24 Hours To Hell and Back, Gordon Ramsay is in Sacramento, California to try to save Sandra Dee's Bar-B-Que & Seafood.  Sandra Dee's serves authentic Creole food and has been open for 19 years. While Gordon Ramsay is there, he discovers the owner's lack of discipline with her family members is negatively impacting the restaurant.  He also discovers that a lot of the food being served is coming from cans rather than being fresh.

Tonight on 24 Hours To Hell and Back, Gordon Ramsay is in Hermosa Beach California to try to save Patrick Molloy's. Patrick Molloy's is a family-owned restaurant located on the Hermosa Beach Pier that opened in 1996. When Gordon arrives, he figures out that a deep-rooted family feud has been negatively impacting the restaurant.  He also finds that Patrick, who the restaurant is named after, isn't pulling his weight around the restaurant.

Kingston Cafe From Kitchen Nightmares Has Closed

Kingston Cafe in Pasadena, California, which appeared on season four of Kitchen Nightmares has closed.  Eater LA reports that the restaurant closed on August 1, 2018 and there is a sign outside of the restaurant that reads:

"Effective August 1, 2018
The cafe will provide catering and event services only. We are available for all your celebratory and event needs: wedding receptions, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, meetings and club events.
To all our loyal customers... We thank you for faithful patronage and support."

In 2012, Kingston Cafe closed for about a year, but it re-opened in late 2013.  The Yelp reviews for Kingston Cafe were not that great with a 3 out of 5 star average(236 reviews) and the restaurant was only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.


Kingston Cafe is the ninth restaurant from season 4 of Kitchen Nightmares to close and the Kitchen Nightmares Updates Page has been updated to show this restaurant as 'Closed.'

24 Hours To Hell And Back - Fetch Bistro Update

Tonight on 24 Hours To Hell and Back, Gordon Ramsay is in Wichita, Kansas to try to save Fetch Bistro.  Fetch Bistro is a dog-themed, dog-friendly cafe which opened in 2016.  Fetch Bistro allows dogs to dine both inside and outside and is the first cafe in Kansas where dogs can dine inside.  While Gordon is there, he finds that the restaurant is in need of some major clean-up and that the concept needs some refining.

Tonight on 24 Hours To Hell and Back, Gordon Ramsay is in Los Angeles, California  to try to save La Serenata di Garibaldo.  La Serenata is a family-owned Mexican restaurant owned by the Rodriguez family.  Marco, who is currently in charge of La Sernata, has exhausted himself trying to keep the restaurant alive.  While Gordon Ramsay is there it seems that everybody working there has given up and one of the main issues at the restaurant is the service.

Tonight on 24 Hours To Hell and Back, Gordon Ramsay is in Greenville, Mississippi to try to save Sherman's Restaurant.  Sherman's Restaurant is a steak and seafood restaurant that has been open for over 30 years and has been owned by Allison and Peter Nimrod since 2012.  When Gordon Ramsay arrives, he finds a restaurant and menu that is outdated partly due to the head chef who has been in charge of the kitchen since the beginning.  Gordon Ramsay also finds out that a lot of the food being served at Sherman's is being heated in the microwave.

The Old Coffeepot is a restaurant located in the French Quarter and is known for its breakfast and Cajun/Creole dishes.  While Gordon is there, he finds out a restaurant called Old Coffeepot actually rents their coffeepots and he ends up finding a dead mouse in a toaster.  Gordon will try to turn the restaurant around in 24 hours by making renovations, training staff and creating a fresh new menu.

24 Hours To Hell And Back Updates

This Wednesday on Fox is the series premiere of Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and BackLast year we hinted that Kitchen Nightmares would be returning in a 24-Hour format and 24 Hours to Hell and Back was the show that was being cast at the time.

Since 24 Hours to Hell and Back is pretty much Kitchen Nightmares with the twist of being done in 24 hours, we will be doing updates for the restaurants that appear on the show.  All restaurants will have a detailed update on this site and all details can be found on the 24 Hours to Hell and Back Updates Page.

The first episode will be at Bella Gianna's in Congers, NY, so be sure to check back after the episode airs to see the update.

La Frite Cafe From Kitchen Nightmares Has Closed

La Frite Cafe in Sherman Oaks, California which appeared on season 4 of Kitchen Nightmares has closed.  The restaurant was actually purchased by a new owner in 2016 who continued with the La Frite Cafe concept.  Then around October of 2017 the owner converted La Frite Cafe into an Italian restaurant called Modo Mio which has other locations as well.

In an article on Eater, the new owner said, "The former [La Frite] owner had too many troubles since the TV show. I bought it from him last year, and saw that the business was too difficult to manage. So I decided to change it to Italian cuisine"

La Frite Cafe has now been marked as closed on the Kitchen Nightmares Updates Page and it is the 8th of 12 restaurants to close from that season.  A link to the full episode is here if you are interested in watching the episode.

Kitchen Nightmares - Oceana Grill Update

Oceana Grill in New Orleans, Louisiana appeared on the season four finale of Kitchen Nightmares in May of 2011.  This post is to update what went on before, during, and after Gordon Ramsay and Kitchen Nightmares visited Oceana Grill.

  • One of the famous lines from the Oceana episode was, "He's from British, He doesn't speak English."  Here is a link to that video.
  • Here is a post from someone claiming to be a server during the episode filming.  They say a lot was staged and the show was edited out of order. (Link)
  • Here is the Oceana Grill Facebook page which has over 26,000 likes and Instagram page with over 53,000 likes.
  • Oceana has a celebrities link on their website where the owners are posing with celebrities that have visited the restaurant.  Celebrities on there include: Drake, Lil Wayne, Shaq, Mark Wahlburg, and Anthony Bourdain. 
  • Rami lists himself as the Vice President at Oceana Grill on Facebook and continues to promote the restaurant on his Facebook page, so Oceana appears to have the same owners.
  • Rami and Moe are not listed on the "management team" part of the Oceana website, but someone with their same last name is listed as the CEO. (Link)
  • Oceana Grill has over 3,000 Yelp reviews, which are mostly positive with a 4-star out of 5-star average.  There are also 600+ reviews that are filtered, many of which are negative. (Link)
    • Some of the old filtered reviews on Yelp claim the restaurant was offering free drinks for good reviews.
  • Oceana Grill has over 10,000 reviews on Tripadvisor with a 4.5 out of 5-star average. (Link)
  • The restaurant also has over 2,000 reviews on both Google and Facebook with positive ratings (4.3 and 4.6 out of 5) 

Conclusion:

Oceana Grill is still open and has a ton of reviews which are mostly positive.  It appears that Rami and Moe are still involved with the restaurant as well. This restaurant is listed as 'Open' on the Kitchen Nightmares Updates Page and you can visit that link for updates on all restaurants that have appeared on the show.
