Caneda's White Rooster Has Closed - 24 Hours to Hell and Back Update

Caneda's White Rooster in Toms River, NJ which appeared on season 3 of 24 Hours to Hell and Back has closed.  The restaurant posted the following message on their Facebook page on March 18th, 2020:

"I have a heavy heart. It was 12 years ago when my life took a very sad and difficult turn in the aftermath of a divorce and I was left with nothing.
It took me almost four years to find my home and career in this business and I have been going with all that I am ever since. Over the last 16 months with the generosity and support of Jay & Jeremy Grunin I was able to keep going on a scale I could only dream of. I am grateful to them for the opportunity. This is not an easy business and when you are in love with it you fight through every bad day and you keep dreaming and hoping it all works out. I built a team that I am so proud of and grateful for. Without their hard work and positive attitudes I wouldn’t have gained your support and appreciation for what we have tried to offer this community. They are stars in my heart always. My grandparents and my children have been my inspiration and motivation from the beginning. My love for food and serving you is my passion. This is who I am.
When I started my business at the shoppe I had only made empanadas twice in my life but I believed in my abilities and I went for it. I put blinders on and I have worked so hard.
I really tried.
Unfortunately there are so many things that have come to be that are out of my control and I have spent the last couple of weeks in a daze of sorts. I wanted this restaurant to be the change we welcomed and maybe I got it wrong. I still believe that there is something I can do to make a difference and my spirit won’t rest until I have accomplished that. For me, this was more than a business. It was my heart. I want to thank every single person who has supported my dream and shared the love. I am back to where I started 12 years ago with a clear understanding that this business is still where I belong. As of today Caneda’s White Rooster will be closed and will not reopen. I ask that you continue to support small businesses and buy local because you are keeping someone’s dream alive. Life is so short and all we want to do is make it the best it can be. Some of us take a risk because there is nothing else that will make us complete and proud of ourselves. I am one of those people. I won’t stop dreaming. I won’t stop trying and I hope you will see me again..........someday. I was so close.
Thank you for all the love,
Patty Caneda"

Caneda's White Rooster appeared on 24 Hours to Hell and Back in January 2020 and the episode was filmed in October 2019.  So the restaurant closed just five months after the episode was filmed and two months after the episode aired.  Caneda's White Rooster put out a new menu in the beginning of March, so perhaps the coronavirus shutdowns had an impact on Patty's decision to close the restaurant.

Caneda's White Rooster has been marked as 'Closed' on the 24 Hours to Hell and Back updates page and here is the detailed update from when the episode aired.
