Savin Bar & Kitchen - Secret Service Update

In this episode of Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service, Gordon Ramsay is in Boston, Massachusetts to help out Savin Bar & Kitchen.  Savin Bar & Kitchen has a rich history, but the restaurant is short-staffed and overwhelmed.  Gordon Ramsay will need to bridge the connection between the staff and the absent owners in hopes of turning this restaurant around.

Secret Service for Savin Bar & Kitchen was filmed in March 2025 and I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Savin Bar & Kitchen to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Gordon Ramsay visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Secret Service):

Positive Reviews:

• "Overall, we had a really good time here. The wait staff is really nice and attentive. The space itself is very beautiful. One thing I wish was that the menu was a little bit bigger. There weren't many options for someone with dietary restrictions like me. The cocktails were not my favorite, but if you're into something a little more bitter, you should be fine.... I'd be interested to go back as the menu changes."
• "The absolutely best roasted half chicken served over roasted brussel sprouts served with a side of au jous. We also shared the chicken parmesan and the garlic linguine that came with was like no other. I had two of their cocktails; blueberry vodka, lime and basil... so delicious. I can't wait to visit Boston again just to eat here!!! If I could give 100 stars !!!"

• "They recently changed their menu and ambiance. Menu was odd and was hard to tell what they were going for. Ordered bruschetta on sour dough and it came out soggy wheat bread. The waitress had to apologize for the swap of bread."
• "Don't believe anything you see. They've changed the place into a bar with only a few items Italian-ish menu. None of what you see or read about in the reviews or photos is available. What is an available is mildly Italian with VERY limited choice choices."

Conclusion:

The reviews for Savin Bar & Kitchen have been mostly positive since the Secret Service makeover.  People seem to like the food, atmosphere, and say that the prices are good.  There are a few negative reviews about the menu size, but this happens a lot when a show reduces the size of the menu.  It seems that the owners are happy with the makeover as they are having a watch party for the episode.  They also often bring up their Secret Service appearance on their social media channels.  The owners of Savin Bar & Kitchen also own other restaurants in the Boston area.
