24 Hours to Hell and Back - M'Dears Bakery & Bistro

On tonight's episode of 24 Hours to Hell and Back, Gordon Ramsay is in Los Angeles to try to save M'Dears Bakery & Bistro. M'Dears Bakery & Bistro is both a bakery and a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.  While Gordon Ramsay is there, he finds that M'Dears is dated and that the owners are resistant to change.  There is also tension between the owners and staff.

Let's take a look at some information, reviews, and updates for M'Dears Bakery & Bistro since 24 Hours to Hell and Back and Gordon Ramsay made all of the changes to the restaurant (note - all reviews are post-makeover).

Positive Reviews:

  • "Went here for the first time with my husband they had Great breakfast food, try the Western omelette with grits. The chicken is good too!"
  • "My first time at this restaurant, and I will be returning, because JENNY was AWESOME! JENNY had exceptional customer service, grace, an inviting personality with a personal touch. I highly recommend the peach Mamosa's and the CHICKEN WINGS!"
  • "Love this place and I try my best to stop In whenever I'm on this side of town. It's small so be prepared to wait if you are coming on a Sunday"
  • "This is my all time favorite breakfast spot. The food is always great, fresh, hot and delicious. The servers are friendly and happy to see each and every customer. Rajah is my favorite. I love the sweet potatoe pancakes and biscuits with the peach cobbler preserves uniquely theres. Breakfast at its best!!!"
  • "The customer service and food was really good. Our orders came out in a timely manner, the staff was professional and friendly and the food was extremely tasty. I will patronize this restaurant again. It's a local gem ."
  • "This is an oasis in the dessert. Excellent baked goods, great food, and exemplary service. Thank you M'Dear's for your consistent A game experience. Can't wait for my next SoCal road trip."

Negative Reviews:

  • "Shameful! The quality has declined tremendously! I always get sweet potato pancakes. They are usually darker and sweeter than regular pancakes. Today, they were regularly colored with a hint of sweet potatoes. I hate plain pancakes and usually eat plain pancakes at home! They tasted just like regular bland pancakes! No one knew what happened to the sweet potato pancakes. My breakfast was ruined!"
  • "The food was good BUT THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! I walked in and all the waitresses just looked at me and kept walking and never acknowledged me. They finally sat us down and left and took another 10 mins to take our drink orders to which we just ordered our food as well. Once we got our food, no one ever came to check on us and the waitress waited to give my boyfriend his hot chocolate and then rolled her eyes because we told her we didn't want it anymore because we were ready to go! Whoever owns this establishment needs to hire people who are more friendly."
