24 Hours to Hell and Back - Stone's Throw Update

On tonight's episode of 24 Hours to Hell and Back, Gordon Ramsay is in Seymour, Connecticut to try to save Stone's Throw. Stone's Throw is a family-owned, fine-dining restaurant located on the Housatonic River.  While Gordon Ramsay is there he finds that the owners have let their sons and coworkers slack off, which has resulted in poor food quality and a dirty restaurant.

Let's take a look at some information, reviews, and updates for Stone's Throw since 24 Hours to Hell and Back and Gordon Ramsay made all of the changes to the restaurant (note - all reviews are post-makeover).

Positive Reviews:

  • " It's such a warm and inviting atmosphere. I made reservations in advance to ensure I would grab a nice table. There are beautiful views of the river and no matter where you are seated, you can still have an unobstructed view. The inside of the restaurant is just beautiful. I can't explain it. Fine dining and super cozy!!! Service was great and my waitress was attentive......Portions were perfect for all dishes!!! I would highly recommend if you are looking to try a restaurant that ensures you feel welcome and completely satisfied. I honestly believe the chef is a genius because all of the flavors come together perfectly. I felt like I was eating at a five star restaurant in the city. To me, this is 6 stars!! Can't wait to return and sample other items. (Prices are also good considering the quality was A+++)"
  • "Very good food. Great service. Beautiful location. What more can you ask for? We are looking forward to coming back in the summer so we can enjoy the river."
  • "Lovely setting - overlooking the Housatonic River below Lake Zoar - modern airy - different seating areas to choose from - Luncheon Menu was limited - few choices - Beer selections also small - But the ambiance was quite nice - food adequate service quite attentive"
  • " Restaurant is laid out to take full advantage of the river view, which was spectacular. Live jazz in the lounge. Wait staff was attentive but not overly so, we enjoyed a leisurely brunch and did not feel rushed. A very pleasant afternoon, and we will come again to this hidden gem."
  • "Excellent. Food was unbelievable, Presented very nicely, Our waitress was very sweet. Gorgeous waterfront scene. Cant wait to go again"

Negative Reviews:

  • "This restaurant is such a disappointment. The service is not the best. There could be 20 open tables, yet you still have to wait so long to even be seated. Waiting for the food also takes forever, almost 45 mins last time we ate there....It's very upsetting because the atmosphere is beautiful, and the view is very pretty but the food and service are subpar."
